Vehicle aftermarket products are defined as any modifications to vehicles that alter the original manufacturers’ specifications for that vehicle; examples include products that reduce the ground clearance of the vehicle below or add height or protrusions. This would apply to aftermarket add-ons such as moose racks, drive lights, downward mount extensions for plow mounts, etc. This also applies to commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles (RVs) and vehicles towing trailers, the following examples are the owner’s responsibility, hook up between the vehicle and the trailer causing it to sag or a jack not fully retracted that hooks causing damage.
