The Strait of Belle Isle is a "roll-on roll-off" service; palletized and loose freight is not accepted. The local telephone number at St. Barbe is 709 877 2222 and Blanc Sablon is 418 461 2889. Ticket offices are open 2 hours prior to departure. To book commercial traffic call reservations toll free from within Newfoundland and Labrador and the 418 area code at 866 535 2567, outside these areas call 709 724 9173. All dangerous goods traffic must be booked 7 days in advance by calling 709 535 6601.

Hours of operation for freight acceptance are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday. It is recommended that you call the local terminal in advance to book an appointment to ship freight. Booking an appointment will enable you to better plan you trucking schedules as well as avoid wait time at the terminal.
Customers wishing to ship frozen and/or chill product should contact their local terminal prior to shipping to ensure refrigeration space is available. This type of cargo is generally accepted the day prior to departure.
